Meryl in Mexico

Almost a year ago, my husband John and I packed up a panel van and headed to Mexico. Protected by an  “Our Lady of Guadalupe” sticker on the rear window; four cats and two dogs in tow, we barreled across the border for a permanent move to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. This past year has been a whirl of building a house, meeting new people, and learning a new way of living. This series “Meryl in Mexico” is a visual grab bag of my impressions and obsessions. From street murals to cityscapes, this work is just the beginning of an extended exploration into a new country and culture.
